This is the wisest thing I've ever heard a future MBA applicant say
You are right. You have no need to revolve your life around going to B-school. The first step to succeeding in your applications is passion - I think loving what you do, and trying to do it more and better is a great way to succeed, and to build confidence and your resume. At the same time, you can also LOOK actively for opportunities to lead, as that is the point. You are already doing great things, so besides just "succeeding" see what risks you can take to innovate, initiate, found. Some will fail, others will succeed, but all will teach you something.
Keep going with your prep school and if that gets going, it will likely also help you out.
You seem to be in a good groove, so keep on trucking in that direction.
