Every school says they look at the application in a holictic manner, but do we all agree that essay is the most important part? thus it weighs more than other portions?

My recommender skipped the written evaluation page by mistake and submitted the reccomendation. She is unable to edit or resubmit the form. Someone please suggest on what should I do? I'm royally screwed!!

Call or email admissions to see if they can reset her recommendation form.

Also, you don't really need to cross-post this in the same forum....

Are you guys putting space between each point on the 25 questions essay? I'm exactly at 2-pages when I don't put spaces between each point, so I wasn't sure if I'm putting way too much in each point.

Even I'm facing the same dilemma. But, I don't think we should put spaces. They haven't explicitly stated any such precondition, unlike the Why Duke question, where they have specifically asked for 1.5 line spacing.

Btw.....what is the ideal font and size to be used - arial or times new roman/11,12 ??

Do we have to upload the answers in pdf format or word?

You can usually upload in either format. I have found the format can get messed up in word format sometimes though. I had to submit my resume in pdf because it wouldn't upload properly in word. Always double check the "Preview" after uploading to make sure it doesn't go wrong.

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know if you can/should submit your application before your reviewers have submitted their part? Does it matter?

Best of luck to everyone applying EA!

Yes, submitting your app before your recs are in is fine. Just keep track of your recs so they get in by the deadline too.

For re-applicants: do we have to resubmit official GMAT/GRE score reports? I couldn't find the info on the admissions site.

I haven't seen explicit instructions saying reapplicants should resubmit the reports. Since it is all electronically done, I am assuming they should be able to look up our last submission by our First/ Last name and date of the test.

From application instructions, under Essays:
■Responses should use 1.5 line spacing and a font size no smaller than 10-point.

I used Word for my submission last year and it gets converted to PDF when you submit. I chose Times New roman 12 point but go with what you feel works best for you.

silly question coming up:

The deadline of 19 sept means-
I need to submit the app
latest by 19 (I.e. 23:59:59 on 19th) my time or EST?

The time will definitely be in EDT (Eastern Daylight). However, please check to verify it is at 23:59:59. When I was applying. I remember it was at end of business at 17:00:00 instead. I didn't see it on the website, but it may be on the application pages.

Boy those 25 random ones sure as hell took a lot of time and effort. I spoke to some Fuqua folks and the impression I got was -- don't just write -- well I love listening to elvis or Johnny cash...it's more about revealing who you are as a person.

The why duke question is of course the straight forward why duke/why mba/why now question.
