Done with the GMAT! Managed a 700!

Regarding the material I used, for both quant and verbal, I relied majorly on the OG. Make sure you are thorough with the OG first before you look at other material.
Also, I did look up interesting looking questions on this forum. I used to randomly but regularly sift through stuff on the general forums without actually concentrating on any particular topic. Additionally, I wouldn't suggest the extra hard questions like devil's dozen and stuff. I personally have very average math skills and I decided that I won't look at these for two reasons. First, it can be very demoralizing and second, you aren't going to encounter such hard questions on the actual GMAT. Another reason I adopted this strategy was because I didn't have too much time on my hands.

As far as verbal goes, again finish stuff from the OG first.
For RC, try and do at least one or two RC's a day. And make sure you pick RC's on topics that you are NOT interested in! That really helps because you learn how to clench your teeth and concentrate! (This will really help you on test day! I got some really REALLY dry topics!) Try and look at RC's posted by 'legendaddy' on this forum.

For CR, I did have the powerscore bible but didn't use it because of a shortage of time. Same was the case with SC for which I did have the Manhattan sentence book but didn't go beyond 3 chapters! The strategy that helped me the most was practice, practice and more practice. Also, when you do get a question wrong, try and understand the explanation PERFECTLY so that you know what to do when you encounter such a question again.

One of the other things I did was that in the last week before the test, I worked ONLY with the OG and GMATPrep and ABSOLUTELY nothing else. I did this in order to condition my mind to the Official pattern. Also, just one day before my test I did not look at ANY stuff. I used the whole day to relax and I think that really helped.

Can You please explaing the real Gmat questions for both verbal and quant compared with OG's as you mentioned your study material was solely OG 13 i guess!!!

I have seen nkotgupta on this forum getting Q51 V31 for 700 and we have Q50 V37 too for 700.

Donot understand how GMAT scoring works.

Seriously, I did a double take when I saw Q50 V37 and total of 700.

To the O.P. : congrats on the great score !

I got Q50V34 otherwise a 700 on gmatprep back in august!!

I used the OG12, not OG13. The questions on the OG are most similar to the ones that you get on the actual test.

I'll give you a comparison here -
For quant, the MGMAT's quants are a level or two higher than the official ones while for verbal, the questions I got on my exam were definitely a notch higher. More in terms of how tricky they were rather than the concepts being tested.

I'd like to highlight another thing here; the topics tested in the quant section on the actual GMAT does not deviate one bit from the concepts mentioned in the OG. They questions are only tricky, not difficult. Just make sure you read the questions as carefully as possible.
