I received a fee waiver for the application. Is that an indication that I will have higher chances of getting admitted?

Tepper School Teach for America/AmeriCorps Scholarships

The Tepper School of Business values the experience and leadership development that Teach for America and AmeriCorps provide to its members and awards related scholarships to alumni of these two US federal programs who join the full-time MBA program.

All Corps alumni who apply to the Tepper School's full-time MBA program receive an MBA application fee waiver of $100.

Any idea when to expect interview invites? According to last year, we can expect very few in a day or 2 and more by Nov 1st or so. But wanted to know if there is any formal announcement.

Mudit, seeing the last year thread the invites should rolling out in a day or two.

For on campus interviews :

On-Campus Interviews: Due to a large volume of interview requests, admissions interviews are granted at the discretion of the MBA Admissions Committee (after an initial review of your application). Before November 26th, if you would like to request an on-campus interview, please email your request with: (1) a copy of your resume; (2) your GMAT or GRE scores (if available); (3) your requested interview date and (4) information on how we may contact you (phone/email). After reviewing all of the requests, we will contact you to confirm an interview appointment if we are able to accommodate your request. After November 26th, interviews are granted by invitation only, based on our review of your submitted MBA application.

Thanks, same to you too.. So if I have opted for an off-campus interview, I won't get to hear anything before 26th? Or is it that I'll get an invite soon enough but the dates given would be of after 26th?

I've already changed my post above yours ; I think I misread some info on the site

you'l start getting the invites in a day or two as per last year trends, and you can very well schedule your interviews . ( you get to choose between telephone/skype interviews )

I read somewhere on the last year's thread - app submitted on 24th Oct and interviewed on 1st November

Yup.. that matches with what I have read. The double negative which you used earlier kinda threw me off-balance . Moreso becuz I had read the other way around.
This makes sense now though.

I got an invitation for an interview today. Does anyone know if the adcom sends interview invites to everyone who applied for R1, or they go through the application first before they send the invites ?

Feel good, I'm pretty sure they look over them before they send you an official invite I already had my interview scheduled and got an invitation to interview a week later

They do process your application before sending out an invite

BTW, congrats for the invite . What date have you scheduled your interview for?

Got an invite.. International applicant.

I am an Indian applicant. I was wondering if there is an option to get interviewed by an alum or is Skype/telephone the only option? Wondering if anyone has an idea.

I think Skype/Telephone is the only option for international applicants. I have no knowledge of Tepper holding Alumni interviews overseas in the previous years as well.

That's True , Skype/Telephone is the only option for international applications. I think the ad-com members will be only taking the interviews AFAIK.

I think they even tell you who you would be getting for an interview.
