I don't think your assumption is correct.

If I am not mistaken, only about 3-4 interview invites have been sent our by the Adcom so far (alteast on this forum). So I think most of us are still in the game. My guess is that we will start hearing from the Adcom starting next Monday and until the month end...I may be completely off though...

I always tell everyone who applies to Johnson that R1 is the round to apply.

I take three main points away from the p&q article:

1) Johnson has taken a different path to evaluating applicants and has put more emphasis on soft skills (interviews).

2) Apps were up last year, the trend continues this year in the EA round. I bet that now with the new ranking they will keep on increasing

3)They interviewed 700-800 applicants out of 2,100 (30-38%), and the admissions rate was 27%. So basically if you are invited to interview you had a 70-90% chance of being admitted.

I was going through last year's thread and interview invitations for the most applicants started to roll out in the third week after deadline. We're already into fourth week. So getting a bit nervous. At the same time, as per this thread, hardly any interview invites have been sent out yet. So fingers crossed. Hopefully, interview invites for most of us will start rolling out from next week.

Also surprised not to see more yet. But I feel good about the fact that no one from the northeast has been invited yet. Invites will come in bunches Im sure, there are a lot of qualified people around here waiting.

Its official, I prefer when a school alerts everyone about interviews on a pre determined day. I am sick of checking my email obsessivly every day! Ahhhhh!

I am now the first person to know about new groupon or living social deals...

I can't take much more!

I hear ya. I leave my gmail open at work with the same results. Added benefit of schools that sets a date for interview invites is that it lets you know early if you're dinged w/o interview so you know if you need to seriously start working on Round 2 apps.

Slightly surprised on the slow pace of interview invites. 1st round decision date is now less than one month away. As per both GmatClub and BTG Cornell forums, hardly 4-5 invites have been sent out as comapred to more than 30 invites by Darden that started sending out the invites at the same time and has the same decision date.

Keeping my fingers crossed.
