After three dings, an invite. I am absolutely thrilled. I had started to doubt my app strategy and overall profile.

Plus, can anyone share the duke interview invite/acceptance rate?

Profile: Male, 30, Pakistan, 7 years of commercial banking experience with more than 3 years of team management experience. Decent community service. GPA of 82.7/100.

Congrats. Trying to figure that rate, but i think it'll be tough since duke allows self initiated interviews...

Nah, my applications portal states the Interview decision as Not Invited. Is this a ding or have to wait for Jan 8? In any case, not much hope now..

Wait until Jan 8. You'll either be WL or dinged. If WL, you could be invited to interview with the R2 applicants.

Still no response, heck. No update on my Fuqua account either, just showing status "Submitted". They're really going to drag this out till the last hour.

Not to give false hope, but applicants that were not invited to interview are not outright dinged. There is still the chance that you can be waitlisted. In fact, I was a R2 applicant last year that did not receive an invitation to interview during the second round. In R3 decisions, my status changed to "Invited to Interview" and I interviewed in that round and was waitlisted until the Summer orientation started.

I reapplied this year as an EA applicant and I am admitted for the class of 2015! Moral of the story? Don't give up!

To those who got good news today, congrats! Be careful when you visit campus for your interviews, you will most likely fall in love with the campus and the more importantly, the people.

Hi all, had a question. I haven't received an email update, and my online "Submission status" is still just "Submitted".
The East Coast day is over. Should I write them an email, or call them tomorrow morning to check? I had met R1 deadline.

Would appreciate the advice.
