From my understanding, Sloan's AdCom conducts all of the interviews.

Ah, then it would be possible to have interviews through the 21st. It'd be an interesting time to visit campus though...classes not in session, finals, etc.

I visited Sloan in October and the adcom said that students don't participate in the admissions project. A student said that the admissions process was like "a black box" to them - they didn't know anything that went on in the process. Maybe Sloan is still setting up campus visits w/ classes into December but will still hold interviews when a class visit isn't possible (ie: into late December).

That makes sense I suppose, especially since January interviews are during IAP and there are fewer classes/students then too. It just seems opposite of what other schools do -- when you have the day of.activities set up along with the interview, it's an opportunity to sell Sloan. Perhaps Sloan doesn't need as much selling as other schools do..

I was interviewed three years ago and invites went out the first week of December. According to previous forums, I noticed other interview invites went out the first week of December as well. I bet we'll start hearing late this afternoon or tomorrow. Either way, it's any day now. :)

Who else hurriedly refreshed their inbox after seeing the previous invite on here to find an email from Sloan (hurray!) and then notice that it was one of those chat invites (boo!)?

MIT, you're killing me! Good luck to everyone, and wishing everyone the best on what may be a less-than-productive afternoon at work for some of us...

Before anyone gets hung up on this I want to make it clear that I am not an expert on this. This is what I observed from the last year’s thread.
MIT Sloan seems to send out invites based on geographical location, at least for US candidates. Looks like it starts from the east coast and move towards the west coast slowly. So sit tight people, so far I have seen three invites, 2 from DC area and from Boston.
Also, these invites will keep going till the last week of their decision date. So we still have around 4 to 5 weeks to go. All the best everyone.
