So it seems like everyone's changed across the board over the last 24 hours? Interesting.

My status too read 'Your application is currently under review.' Not invited to interview yet. I think adcom just realized they hadn't updated status as was stated in their Dec 03rd admissions blog!

I agree with vibhav.

At this point if you have not been invited to interview you are either getting dinged or wait listed. I myself will prefer a straight out dinged as someone pointed that out of a 100+ in the wait list they usually take 5 or so (can anybody confirm this number, I read it somewhere here in the thread)

the interesting # would be out of that 100, how many are interviewed. still excruciating but not as bad if its a high yield there.

Can we start the official waiting chat now? With enough red bull I can stay up through next wednesday. Or maybe we can all meet somewhere and hold hands for the next 6 days.

When does the adcom call those who are getting admitted? The day before the official notification date?

Thanks!

I did some analysis from previous years' threads. It looks like calls start about 15-17 hours before deadline.

In previous years decisions were released at 9am Stanford Time on D-day, and calls started around 4-5pm Stanford time the night before. Looks like the calls follow the sun, east to west, starting in Asia.

D-day could not come sooner as far as I am concerned!

It may come sooner than you think Pike, according to last year's thread, the first call came in on 7:48am on dec 13th, and the e-mail on 9am on december 14th. That would make it over 24h of calling!

Did anyone who got in didn't receive a phone call?
Argh that will mean we will all be staring at our cell phone for 24 hrs right before the deadline!

Re: Stanford GSB 2013 - Calling all Applicants [#permalink]
I had the funniest dream last night that everyone at my firm got in and was telling me to check whether I got in too. So dream-me saw I had an email from Stanford with the subject line "Yay!" and opened it, only to see a youtube link. When I clicked the youtube link it was somebody joyously telling me I was NOT accepted. :( Woke up feeling pretty depressed.

Normajean, that's terrifying!

I've been having strange dreams about business schools, too. In the days before my interviews, they have become more vivid, and I'm sure they will become especially more nightmarish leading up to d-day.

I'm also going for Social Entrepreneurship at Stanford. Maybe we'll be in the program together? I met with one of the Directors from the Center for Social Innovation when I was there - seems like a great program that affects a huge portion of the student body.
