Looking back at last years posts, it appears the called mostly intenational students the day before decision day and americans on decision day

I, sadly, already checked and only 16 in the facebook group, but i'm sure not everyone who gets in jumps onto facebook :). How many people get accepted in early action, 200? That's a complete guess

There were around 400 in last years FB Page, so... 100 per round? or so.. perhaps a bit more for the EA and R1.

I recall reading over all rounds they admitted over 500, so i guess there's gotta be at least 150 admitted in early action

This definitely gives the Americans some hope. I wonder if they will make any calls past 5 PM Eastern Time today.

Application status is the same as it was. When I spoke with Allegra, she mentioned that my official letter will become available online with everyone at 5pm ET tomorrow.

Hang in there everyone... still plenty of time for more admits!

Number is probably a lot lower for the April round - I'm sure EA/Nov/Jan round is where the bulk of the admits happen.

Four of those 16 members are not admits but admins though...it really does look like the bulk of the calls are coming tomorrow. Ugh, was hoping for early good news, lol.

Lets wait until the evening and see the total number when everyone is back from work and have spare time to register into the page.

I saw many admits from India, specially those who interviewed there with an alum. No Latin Americans admitted today??

Who knows? I'm sure each person has a list to get through, and they get as far down that list as possible.

I'll assume they sort in descending order by shoe size, if your last name begins with A-M and Acceding order if it begins with N-Z, they then use a proprietary algorithm developed by a consultant 5 years ago to randomize that list of names. They then cut those names into strips of paper, and place them in a hat, whoever an adcom member picks, they call.


That is just one of many theories... the majority of my others include the use of a monkey, but this one seems the most likely...

I wonder if it has to do with location of interview or scholarship info. It seems like the interviews were not applicant initiated and I also haven't heard about scholarships being received, but last year this was provided with the phone call.

Mostly internationals the day before and mostly americans on decision day. At least it looks like that in the previous cycles.
