Hello,
I feel that I am a strong applicant with the exception of my GMAT score (610). Will it hurt my chances of getting into one of the top-20 schools?
More info:
5 years of experience in international technology transfer and licensing. Worked with university professors in Europe to help them commercialize their inventions in the United States.
Volunteer experience as a coach for a women-in-entrepreneurship course.
Spent 4 months living abroad for my technology transfer work.
Bachelor of the Arts in Biology and Spanish from the University of Texas at Austin. 3.7 GPA
Hoping to get into Kellogg or Stern. Both have deadlines in early January. Do you recommend that I retake the GMAT and do my essays in the next 4 weeks, or just focus on the essays? I have applied to UT and am scheduled to interview next week.
If you think you can raise your GMAT and want to have a strong chance at Kellogg or Stern, yes you should retake.
Best,
Linda
