Hi ,
I gave my GMAT on the 27th of December 2012 [Friday]. I scored 710 and was pleasantly surprised to get this score.
In my mock tests, I would score either in the 680s or the 690s and was glad that i got more in the GMAT.
By March of 2013, I will complete 4 years of work experience in Tata Consultancy Services.
I am interested in a full time 2 year general MBA . Can the members here please help me / advise me on where my chances are good ?
I am under no illusions and know that I probably do not stand a chance in the top 15(USA) . Besides, I do not have the money required
to join the top 15 anyways.
I was wondering what my chances would be for admissions in good B schools in USA (&/or India, Singapore) as well as possibility for scholarships / assistantships etc ?
How do you think I would fare in , say, McCombs, Scheller, Darden, Carlson or Kenan Flagler ? (I agree it is pretty ambitious... but please help nonetheless). Moreover, I was speaking to one colleague of mine who said that after finishing MBA in US, getting a job is very difficult and the greatest risk is that you take a loan for studies in the US and then are forced to return back to your home country and struggle to repay that dollar loan. I remember him talking about something called as S-T-E-M jobs..and how Management was not a part of this... was not clear what this meant though.. Can anyone throw light on this ?
Regards,
Karan
