Any R2 applicants get interview invites yet? I understand they started reading the apps only on jan 2nd due to technical issues.

I am an applicant from Canada. I am contemplating whether it will be worth to apply to Cornell in Round 3. Can anyone provide some helpful insight?

Without knowing anything else about you, I'd say yes - Cornell has 4 rounds so round 3 is still viable. Round 4 would be the round to avoid (other schools Round 3).

Okay. R1 people have got their results.
Let R2 begin.

Invited to interview last night. But the mail says to schedule the interview thru emailing.
So, do I propose a date and medium of interview ?
Every other school I interviewed with had a good available/occupied slot system on their website. How does Cornell work ?

Anyways, even after a few more invites I don't see any Indian getting in! Whats up this year? OR all the invited ones are non-existsent on the virtual space. Does any one know?

dreamchase - may be you will break the jinx!

It comes as a surprise, if it is the truth. I have always had a feeling that Cornell is much more India-friendly than many others.

Congrats on the invite. Out of curiosity, when did your application say "under review"

Interviewed yesterday on-campus. Playing my answers to the questions in head my over and over again. The wait for the final decision this week (I am a 1st round applicant) is going to be brutal. If I get dinged, I hope they do it sooner rather than later and put me out of my misery earlier haha. Good luck to all the 2nd round applicants with interview invites!

My GMAT score is 730, GPA 3.22 in engineering, and 3.2 years of experience at matriculation.

Goal: Career switch.

I would like to apply but I wanna make sure that its worth it in Round 3.

Nope, no word yet (I'm an R2 applicant). Considering how delayed they have been with their R1, I am not expecting any e-mails anytime soon.

Like I said before, Round three is still viable for Johnson.

Generally the last Round at any school should be avoided. There will always be room for the strongest applicants in the final round, but for the merely competitive, your admission depends on the number and types of students who have accepted offers in the previous round. If they're short on your flavor, you may be in luck. If they have enough, an otherwise good application that could've been an admit earlier will most likely land in the ding pile.

So I noticed last night when I put my DJ save the date up on my fridge... It's the same weekend as my sister's wedding... damn.

Should I ask Johnson to move their date, or my sister to move her wedding?

Ask adcom if you can defer your Destination Johnson invite for next year, but still attend school this fall. Otherwise the wedding has got to move.

Ooo or I could try to do both! I just have to convince them to have their events in the same place, and excuse myself to the bathroom frequently... And I thought watching re-runs of old 90s sitcoms was only useful for bar trivia!
