Keep in mind, it was a blind interview. They only had your resume to go off of. So, there's no possible way they could have known what your chances are at that point.

I was thinking if my interview didn't go well and she was contemplating putting me on a waitlist unless my essays and other parts of the application were very good.

At Haas, will your interviewer be the representing person in the admcom round-tables? If that's the case the 1st impression will play a great part.

I am guessing the interviewer will always be the person representing the candidate in the adcom round-table. Isn't it?

If that's the case, then you are pretty much screwed if the interviewer had a neutral or negative opinion of you.

As I read, 2-3 folks who didn't get an interview invite yet got an email from a current student. Is there anyone who was interviewed + got the email from the students?

That would be me. They had a student in my area send me an email. I responded about 2 minutes after I got it last week and haven't heard anything back.

I didn't receive any such email. Although, it's very strange that none of them replied. Did they have a @haas.berkeley.edu address?

Perhaps the ewmba staff instructed them to do so but then changed their mind after the emails were already sent. Did the email seem like it followed a fixed template?

I assumed he was just busy. The person that responded to me is a current EWMBA student. I'm sure he's got a lot on his plate. At this point I don't have a whole lot of questions anyways. So, it's not a huge loss if I don't get to meet up with him.

I am also from the Seattle area and yes, my letter looks like a form letter upon further review. Still not sure why that means I don't get a reply.

Yes, one person not replying could be unique circumstances. But none of them replying is too strange to be coincidence.

Either ways, we just need to wait a couple of more days to find out.

I think this email is going out to out-of-state applicants only, particularly to those from Seattle.
