Same for me - my interview was at her office. I had a friend who had her interview at a library in the city.

Interesting . On my interview match email, it says specifically "To schedule your interview, you should reach out via email to the first Ambassador on the above list." (Underline theirs). I guess they might have changed the methodology a bit?


Odd - I just checked both my email and my status update and neither refers to the order in which the interviewers should be contacted. The first one on Columbia's list is actually lowest on my personal list (dissimilar pre and [probably] post MBA work experience). Still waiting to hear back from the first interviewer to whom I reached out - hoping that it's a timely turnover of events from now til acceptance!

Hey guys. For those who have paid their deposit, did you get a confirmation from the school? If so, approximately how long after you sent it did they confirm?

I submitted via overnight mail Friday, they confirmed they received the deposit Monday afternoon.

Mine took almost 2 weeks for them to deposit but I got a status update on the website within a few days of mailing the check.

Does anyone know roughly what the average lag time has been from interview feedback submission to decision? My feedback was submitted on the 18th.

Like the new name nyukellogg! My feedback was submitted Jan 18, pretty sure they called me Jan 30th, but since they didn't reach me, didn't call back until Feb 1st. So my decision technically ran the full 2 week timeframe they give you. I believe others have heard sooner though.

Hi everyone - super longtime lurker, but first time poster! Just wanted to say:

1. Not too many of my friends are going through the MBA app process, so it's nice to know I'm not alone!

2. I was accepted to Columbia yesterday!! Got the call from Christina in the afternoon! My timeline if anyone is interested:

Submitted: 12/24/12
Invited to Interview: 1/23/13
Interview: 2/8/13 (Had some issues with this - none of the first three alums responded so I had to research and then my interviewer couldn't meet for a week and a half)
Feedback Submitted: 2/11/13
Decision: 2/20/13 - Accepted!!

I received a decision 9 days after my feedback was submitted (includes a weekend a President's Day Monday) so I'd say 6-7 business days. However, a friend of mine had to wait 3 weeks before she received her decision. I'm sure someone has done an analysis on the average days based on previous posts...
