I have my interview next week.
Any recommendations on a good way to spend the day? I don't really have much interest in the World of Coke, Aquarium etc and would rather spend my time getting a real feel for the quality of life down there. Good parks? Areas with a high density of cafes/bars/shopping etc?
Centennial Park is a big park in downtown Atlanta if you're at all interested about inner city green space. Buckhead will give you a good idea of what kind of shopping you can do in town and if you get hungry there's a restaurant in Lenox Square (mall in Buckhead) which has 1/2 price steaks if you're seated before 18:15. If you want something a bit less touristy than World of Coke or the CNN tour, the Jimmy Carter Library is pretty cool and you can see his Nobel Peace Prize up close.
I'm still waiting for my invitation... I got very quick (~1 week) invites at some of Goizueta's peer schools but I'm starting to worry that if I don't get invited next week I can pretty much forget about Emory.
I'm an aviation guy, Atlanta would be great for me.
