Congratulations htown!

We got the same score on the verbal, now if only I can go back and get your quantitative score in a couple weeks!

Anyway, I'm glad you decided to take it. Can't believe I'm sitting here feeling so happy for someone I don't know, haha. Where are you applying?

Wow, htown...a 46V is amazing, and your 740 shall carry very nicely!! you must have had great stamina while working through those neverending reading passages.

Good luck on Apps. As for your two years, make sure to squeeze every little thing out of those two years and make sure it shines on your apps/essays. Make SPECIAL note of all leadership/management (even if you have no one "under" you) positions, as that is what is most concerning.

Again, as with your advice on the GMAT, be confident!!!!

Htown, Congratulations! Excellent score. Like mciatto said, if you can spin good, impressive stories that show your leadership qualities, you will be fine.

By the way, I am interested in buying your OG. Let me know if you still have it. If you would like, email me at edealfan<at>yahoo<dot>com.

Htown Congrats on the score!! just curious though, did you feel the OG helped you more than the Kaplan books? or vice versa?

Toujours - thanks . . . .if you decide to retake to boost the quant, i wish you all the best of luck. If not, I'm sure you'll be fine with your great score . . . from what i understand, evertying 680 and up is more than sufficient (assuming everything else is inline). I'm not sure where I'll be applying. I sent my scores to UT and Rice (both local), Dartmouth, Chicago and Darden. I think the last three are stretches, but ya never know. Let me know what you decide. If you're gonna be moving on to the app process, let me know as well. I definitely value your opinions.

Mciatto and Edealfan - thanks for the advice and well wishes.

Smart Black Guy - I would rather use OG than Kaplan. However, you can't go wrong doing both. Save OG toward the end, because the flavor of the questions is more representative.

I am still not clear about the GMAT scoring.

What does Q46 and V47 mean? How does that map to an overall score of 800? I had asked this question earlier in this forum but did not get any answers!! An explanation will be appreciated.
