Please help me to evaluate my chances.
Russian female, 34
GMAT 720
GPA 4.0 (graduated magna cum laude)
Work experience: 7 years in academic field (a researcher in physics) Russia; in the last year 7/7 I was a research project manager. In USA I have 3+ years as a project manager at 2 small IT companies (start-ups)
Extra: During my studies at one of the best Universities in Russia I was a leader in youth political organization in my city and a leader of a scientific committee of the university. Participated in competitions in physics, played in the university theater. After graduation from the university worked in Russian Academy of Science, participated in organizing international scientific confetences, and published 17 scientific papers in well-known magazines. In USA volunteered to help Russian elderly with English (interpreter).
Have honors: Young Scientist Award, 2000
Graduate School Award for the best dissertation
Golden Medal of Academic Performance
Would like to apply to Kellogg and Chicago (I live in Chicago and don't want to move) to get an MBA in marketing management and international business. Work now with russian companies doing outsourcing, feel lacking systematic knowledge.
What are my chances? I'm concerned with my age and work experience.
PS. I can answer why now MBA: 1st came 5 years ago to USA and was busy with my baby. Then some time took to adapt to different cultural and business environment. Now feel that it's right time to pursue MBA.
Thanks in advance
