Ok how do you get to speak directly with your Counselor over phone? My email did not include a phone number I could reach him on. I guess you just call the general number and ask for them by name?

When is the deadline to pay tuition, do you know?


I didn't apply to Duke, so I don't know, but for comparison, Johnson says their tuition bill will come online in mid July with orientation starting Aug 4.

I just called the main line and asked for her. Oh well, I am just hoping that she remembers my name when I reapply. Chances don't look good for WLers

To add, I have a buddy who got his MBA as wisconsin, and he's doing pretty well for himself (big 4 consulting). Seems like a great place to spend a few years, if that's where you end up going you'll be fine. Also, MUCH better football team, solid basketball, and solid hockey (no hockey at duke).

I just got the call from a 919 number and the guy on the line said "congrats, you are on the waitlist and we have an place available for you....and it's a 2 bedroom apartment you requested"...ahhh. The call was from the station 9 apartments. Worst feeling ever.

OMG! I would have fallen out of my chair with trepidation and then felt my gut rush out of me when I realized that it wasn't the call I was hoping for ha!

side note: i was perusing the other waitlist forums (Booth, HBS, etc etc) and I have to say, this one for Duke is definitely the most active in terms of number of posts!

A threads activity is inversely proportional to the waitlist activity. Worst case scenario: if we don't get in, lot of us can potentially be classmates in the class of 2016. Win-win situation.

no no, lets talk in finalities at this point in the game. No lofty "wherever you end up" talk at this stage. I'm heading to cornell, I swear! :twisted: I'll be here, but I can't make any promises about my activity... Theres a difference between being checked out mentally at a job and being bombarded with team meetings, social events and... bleh.. accounting... :puke

(sidenote: still nothing from a counselor... lets hope they've finally cut me already...)

I was looking at the 2011 thread last night, and the last batch of counselor emails went out on the following Monday. I don't understand why the process takes so long. The letter hasn't changed at all in at least two years.
