Wow, that seems pretty early for getting essays out there compared to most places.

I'm currently researching the LGO course. Is there anyone out there who has experience of this programme? How much does it detract from the full-MBA experience? Seems to be more of a bolt-on (!!!) than a substitute for aspects of MBA curriculum, but I'm not 100% clear.

I'm going to be attending the on-the-road presentation in London on 12th June if anyone else in the UK is thinking of applying. (Thanks to domotron for the heads-up!)

I wish their round 1 decision was closer to to the other schools in Sloans peer group. Count me in for round 1.

Wow. MIT pushed back its round 1 deadline by a month. The one good thing about that is that you will find out before round 2 applications are due.

The deadlines are out but when are the essays getting released..the website still has essays for the fall 2013 entry...

I went along to the MIT event in London this week. It was nice to meet some other prospective applicants (rivals?) and get some face-time with admissions staff and some Alumni. The alumni were pretty finance-based, as they noted probably more of a reflection on London than MIT.

Anyone else reading this at the London event? Numbers weren't huge, but I was amazed that Harvard came all the way across the Atlantic on the same day - surely being so close to each other they would have wanted to avoid clashing?

The essay topics for fall 2014 entry have been released - two essays, up to 500 words each! It looks like they removed the cover letter requirement...

Thanks for the update! This is quite a change. Application date pushed up, decision pushed up and now major essay changes.

Essay 1: The mission of the MIT Sloan School of Management is to develop principled, innovative leaders who improve the world and generate ideas that advance management practice. Discuss how you will contribute toward advancing the mission based on examples of past work and activities. (500 words or fewer, limited to one page)

Essay 2: Describe a time when you pushed yourself beyond your comfort zone. (500 words or fewer, limited to one page)

Optional Question

The Admissions Committee invites you to share anything else you would like us to know about you, in any format.
