Your score for Quant is amazing... I think you can breach 700 mark easily, if you get verbal on track. Verbal is pain if you don't approach systematically, please read basics of grammar for SC and gradually increase the difficulty level.

RC is practice, focus on what author is trying to say in the abstract. That's the key

CR's always stay focused to the conclusion of the statement, most of the answer choices are either extreme or out of scope.

I'm not that great in Verbal, but I usually get 75-80% accuracy on the questions I attempt.

what did you refer for quant?

I have heard good reviews about e-gmat; You may want to try. Read reviews and decide.
I am not an expert, just based on the reviews

Hello friends,

I gave my GMAT recently and secured only 570 (Q49,V20). I know I am very bad in Verbal and I use to get 25-28 in practice tests but in main exam I fared very bad. It is clear that my weakness is verbal. I am a disaster myself in RC and I take more and more time to solve CRs. I have read MGMAT SC guide but still fared bad in main exam. I completed all verbal sections in both OG 13edition and OG verbal 2 edition. I am planning to retake my GMAT in July last week. So it will be like again a 45 days of preparation.

Please help me guys and guide me through how I should start and work on.

Thanks in advance.

What I will start with is taking a break.. After GMAT take 1-2 weeks break..get into correct mindset and look up to ur challenge again
U need to start with basics in Verbal so I suggest reading novels.. something u are interested in.. 1 novel 2 weeks should be reasonable
and simultaneous work on SC.. pickup egmat.. its highly valued for non natives..
Be more active in SC section and make sure u gain 80-90% accuracy before u move to CR and RC. one get 17-18 SC questions and the rules are few on which u can be tested so its maths. get ur mindset right and SC will come. I find CR easy as I am use to reading thing even though I have no interest in them
RC will take time and these two come together and ur reading practice will help you in this..

Lastly don't forget quant section..that 49 could go down if u don't keep it up

Hope that helps :)

Your score is not going to improve without doing better in RC. I would highly recommend regularly reading articles from the Economist and Harvard magazine.

You should use the gmatpill strategy for reading RC which focuses on cutting the fluff, focusing on key transitive words, and connecting the dots. How you do this will make all the difference in RC -- otherwise you'll spend too many minutes reading and re-reading the passage and still now know what they are talking about.

Intentions from the author are structured, figure out what that structure is and then you'll start seeing what exactly the author is trying to say. Try these two free demo videos showing this reading process in action, and send me your kudos -- only if you feel it's helpful.

bb has a post where he talks about getting better at RC questions. He says that, as a non-native English speaker, he got better at RC by reading classic non-fiction books. It seems like it could be a good idea for you to read modern classics by authors like John Steinbeck or Ernest Hemingway. This should help you to train your "ear" and get you up to speed on the types of books read by most high school/college students in the US. Not only that, you'll get to read some great stuff too.
