Hi,
I am targeting (1) Harvard (2) Wharton (3) Booth (4) Columbia in order of preference. A summary of my profile is as follows:
30yrs/F
Chinese
GMAT: 710, Q 73%, V 93%
Undergrad degree: Industrial Engineering from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor
Undergrad GPA: 3.61
8 years of work experience in management consulting at a Big Five audit/advisory firm and risk management at a bulge-bracket investment bank
International work experience in the US, UK and Asia
Target industries post-MBA: Strategy and Entrepreneurship
I would appreciate an evaluation of my profile based on this information and a possible categorization of my choice of schools into 'likely' or 'stretch' with any advice on potential areas for improvement in regards to my application.
Thanks!
You have a chance at all four schools. HBS is a stretch, mainly because it's HBS. Wharton also. But you are competitive at CBS and Booth.
Areas of improvement: possibly extra-curriculars/community service, which you don't mention above. Leadership experience also isn't mentioned. If you don't have it, that would be a problem.
Best,
Linda
Best,
Linda
