According to the way it worked last year, the essays should be available in August...

well... you can start filling the application form, but I'm not sure it's for fall 2014. The essays questions are the same as in previous year, the essays form word doc says the following at its top:

Programme: MBA 2015 (Class beginning August 2013)

and their site's page about the dates says:

Our four admissions stages have now closed. However, it may still be possible to apply to the MBA beginning in August 2013, please contact...

So I'm not sure that I'm not wasting my time filling a form for Fall 2013 admission.

Exactly. What is more, if you download the essays form, you can see that it is named something_Aug_12, which may suggest that a new version will be released next month for the 2014 intake. If I had to bet, I'd say that some changes to the essays are likely, so my idea is to use this form as a general guideline to understand the detail/difficulty level of LBS essays.

Oops :shock: . My mistake. Sorry about that. Good thing I haven't started filling out the essays.

Very nice set of essays this year at LBS, I'm quite happy I have to say! Did the school disclose information about the new deadlines too?

Unfortunately not yet. However, I guess we should expect something similar to 2013:

1 04 October 2012 02 November 2012 13 December 2012
2 03 January 2013 08 February 2013 28 March 2013
3 28 February 2013 09 April 2013 16 May 2013
4 17 April 2013 29 May 2013 28 June 2013

I don't know which doc are you talking about specifically, but as far as I know this year there are only 3 essays. You might have come across last year's essay topics.

True that ! Very non-standard. Has anybody come across LBS essay analysis so far ? Considering that it's almost been 2 weeks since the essays were posted, some consultant ought to have done it.

yet to come across the analysis. But I did start filling out the application form and just wanted to give a heads up to everyone that there are quite a few open-ended questions in the application form itself. They are kind of like mini-essays 50-100 words.

Came across a bunch of blog posts for LBS essay analysis by clearAdmit and mbaMission. Found them pretty useful, especially admissionado's analysis.

Does anyone know whether I should attempt to use british spelling on the apps? (program vs programme)

I'm definitely more comfortable w/ the US convention, but not sure if it'll read less professionally to the UK adcoms.
