Even though the application itself will be available in August, the application requirements have been already published: https://www.anderson.ucla.edu/degrees/mb ... quirements
The news: only one mandatory essay + only 1 rec letter!
Here is the link to the admissions post about it: https://mbablogs.anderson.ucla.edu/mba_a ... dates.html

Anyone start their essay yet? I like the Anderson prompt...No frills, very straightforward.

Will 750 GMAT make up for a below average GPA (3.36 for NYU Stern undergrad)? I thought I was a good fit for UCLA, but I've been reading that they weigh GPA much more than some other schools. I'm a white male too which doesn't help. Good work experience doing project management work at investment banks, but I haven't started a million dollar business or anything.

Can't make any guarantees but I did get in with undergrad GPA of 3.27.

Thanks, what was your profile if you don't mind me asking. (e.g. work experience, undergrad school, etc). I'm trying to figure out if I need to write a supplemental essay on my GPA or not. For my school, the GPA is fine, but I'm worried about research such as this, that shows adcoms don't do a good job of taking into account grade deflation:

UC Berkeley - Economics and Cognitive Science

Worked at Bureau of Labor Statistics and an econ consulting firm before Anderson.

Honestly, I would not worry about your GPA at all. You got high enough GMAT to mitigate any potential concerns that your GPA may raise (and 3.36 will not raise any concerns).

Work on crafting the best story possible and good luck on your application.

This is the mail I received from admissions:

===
Thank you for your email. You do not need to resubmit your official scores until you have been accepted into our program. For now during your application, you are only required to enter the unofficial score. Hope this helps, and please feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions.
===

Please note that I had earlier sent the scores to UCLA when I took GMAT two years back. However, what I understood from the mail is that we don't have to send the official scores at the time of applying. You can probably send a mail to admissions to confirm.

Best,
Prodizy
