hi
these are the schools i've zeroed in on :
1. Sloan
2. U.Mich-Ross
3. NYU-Stern
4. Purdue-Krannert
my stats are as follows:
Gmat:690
have a 71%aggregate from an Indian Engineeering college, the highest in class was about 78%
work exp:
worked as a systems engineer at this Japanese Control Engineering firm in India for 6 months, was involved in the design phase for a power plant here. made an impression, recieved a promotion in 6 months. but i wanted to get into consulting
i got into a global Indian It consulting firm and have been here since then. the work is great, have recieved global exposure, consulting for clients across the world such as from England, Middle east, philippines and Scotland. doing a good job here, recived a promotion.
led a team of 4 recently for a project for the World health organization and will be the sole consultant to implement our solution at their regional office in the Philippines.
achieved a break through with the help of the Oracle support team and devised a code usable through many regions of the world for the WHO project.
been in pre-sales recently and won my team their largest project in terms of volume of employees s far
sports:
represented my school in athletics and played for the college basket ball team
communityservice: am invoved with CRY (Child Relief and you), India. recently helped in organizing a corporate quiz in the city, the proceeds of which go to the less privileged kids.
was in the organizing committee for the college cultural fest and even compeered a few events.
was literary club representative in school.
what do you think my chances are like at these schools?
i have already applied to MIT and have to apply at the rest for the dec 1st deadline!
MIT's decision will be out on jan 31st but i havent heard from them regarding the interview yet.
do you think i stand a chance at these programs?
