I got only 360 in GMAT after preparing for 3 months spending every day on GMAT only.I did not even join any college after completing graduation JULY 2017 I decided to take GMAT and apply to 2018 masters in management which make a one year gap for my masters where all my family members are against this idea initially .I convinced everyone and I was confident that I can do it and ended up with this score which so depressing. Most of the deadlines are on Jan. I am thinking of a retake but deadlines are on Jan, Don't know what to do, Can I do it in one month which I could not do it in 3 months?? Please give your suggestions it means a lot to me at this time.
Hello Vijaya
I'm sorry to hear that you didn't received score that you expected.
According to the information you shared, your quant was in Q36-40 range and verbal was in V20-22 range. You scored less in quant in actual gmat exam.
1. First of all, order ESR it will help you understand how you performed in exam and what was your accuracy in different sections.
2. Focusing only on Quant or Verbal will not help you. You need to work on both sections. But if quant is your strong suit try to score high in it and try to get average score on Verbal.
3. Can you please tell how exactly are you preparing for different sections ? Like what you do when you get a quant or verbal question wrong ????
4. Just solving questions will not help you. Properly understanding the solution is very important.
5. As you are not working currently, properly utilizing study time is important.
6. Utilize gmatclub forum. Go over a few debriefs, it will help you understand how people prepare and how they improve there scores.
7. Study plans for both quant and verbal section are available on forum, try to go over them and see which one interests you.
Try to go over the points and try to figure out gaps in your preparation.
Let me know if you need any help. I can try to plan out study schedule/method for you.
All the best
