Anyone here applied to Tauber as well? I am confused as what to ask the interviewer related to Tauber. They already have sent how the curriculum will be if one is selected in the tauber program and has details of team projects as well. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You can ask about the Tauber Team Project, TLSS, Spotlight etc.
OR,
You can pick up questions from your interview experience.

See, you have got plenty of options. The thing is what suits you best. I, for example, asked about the Tauber Team Project and picked up a couple of questions from my interview experience. This might not work for you. Whatever you decide to ask, make sure that you have done your research and the questions are authentic.

All the Best :-)

I just had an interview with Ross alumni yesterday. It was quite formal. The interviewer introduced about himself and then switched to questions, mainly about my work ex.
- Why MBA
- Why Ross
- Longterm goal. Why do you choosenthat career path?
- Any students I interacted with?
- A difficult team member
- Biggest work achievement
- Any conflicting situation in the above achievement
- A time that I failed
- Experience working with people from other cultures
- 1-min pitch about why I am a good fit for Ross

Re: Calling all Ross 2018 Applicants - Class of 2020 [#permalink]
Hi All.
I also completed both my Ross and Tauber Interview yesterday
Ross Interview : Total 35 mins + 8 mins Q and A with a 2Y international student from Finance.
Questions : Typical Tell me about you / Leadership / Teamwork / Strength/ Weakness / Goals/ Why Ross . In between he asked some specific points from what i explained.
Overall it was more conversational . I think my interviewer had a lot of interviews for the day so he was looking at clock in between.

Tauber Interview : This was bit into work experience and specific about projects - how i thought of idea/ how i implemented/ how i worked with someone who did not agree with you. The interview was 25 mins + 5 mins Q&A

For both Ross and Tauber Q&A session : I asked about how MAP and Team projects are assigned to students. I asked that since I prefer certain functions/ industries for my projects, is it possible to get what i want? After this question I asked about Tauber team projects are mostly located in US and I asked is it possible to expand to other countries/ companies.

Overall it was good.

All the best for others.

Ross Team Exercise Feedback:

Difficulty level: Zero. It was all chill and super easy. Absolutely low stress. :-)
Amount of Prep required: NIL.
Upside: The task is fun and you get to meet potential classmates. If not for anything else, you will meet some super awesome people and have wonderful conversations.
Downside: You will "Desperately" want to get into Ross.

I totally agree with this. The exercise was a lot of fun.

The actual interview felt a bit rushed. Despite that, it was very conversational and my interviewer was friendly and nice to talk to.

Silly question, but I saw that they want 1 inch margins on the resume and was curious if any of you didn't follow that? Just wondering how much leeway I may have, if any, on that formatting aspect.

I used 1 inch at the top and bottom but used less for the sides.

If I recall I used a bit less than 1 inch because 1 inch at the top was too much space aesthetically and I couldn't handle it. Think of it this way:

1) They aren't going to measure

2) BUT presume they've just looked at a few dozen resumes with 1 inch margins and then yours, if it's different enough they'll probably notice

3) For the most part the margins is just to make the resume easier to read though, so if you think your resume is pleasant on the eyes with margins x,y, and z then I say go for it. Think the recommendation is just so people aren't trying to fit too much detail onto one page.

Just a slightly different take - I'd say if the school is so specific about the margin, why not just adhere to it? I'm sure they're not going to reject an application purely for this, but why take any risk when the stakes are so high

Hi

Just curious, did any receive any communication from Ross ( Generic / specific ) after interviews.
Or we just have to wait till Dec mid for the results.

Also how does Ross contact us for admission results - call / mail.

Cheers and All the best !!

Re: Calling all Ross 2018 Applicants - Class of 2020 [#permalink]
I looked into last year's process a bit and they called US admits two days before the deadline, while they called international admits the day before. Soojin also made a post about the process a week before the deadline last year (maybe there will be one today?) detailing when admitted candidates would get the good news.

If this holds true, that means US applicants would hear on the 13th while International applicants would hear on the 14th.

The only thing that sucks is if you don't get a call you have to wait for up to 2 days to get your waitlist or rejection notice.

We were supposed to receive some kind of portal log-in this week but I haven't gotten anything. There will probably be more details when that goes around
