I'd like to know a bit more about your timeline and goals:
1) Is there a reason why you're limiting yourself to just 2 months of study?
2) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
3) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

Thank you so much for the reply Rich. Really useful! :-D
I'll start to prepare it from half July till the end of August due to the fact that I have not much time unfortunately.. I'm full of exams and have to graduate..
I have to apply before the end of November (1st round)
My first picks are LSE - LBS - Imperial - HEC but everything will depend by GMAT score.. Hope for the best!

Cheers

1-Take a GMAT prep CAT - The result will be your baseline score so you can always compare later practice tests with this one.
2-Keep an error log - Keep going back and forth to check your mistakes. Remember it is much better to understand why you got 10 questions wrong than to do 100 and never go back to revise and analyze your mistakes.
3-Practice using GMAT prep CATs. These are the closest to the real thing. And always take the test in full.

Hi
First Read manhattan SC. Once you complete one topic then its has OG reference question topic wise . you can solve those questions from OG.
Same for CR and RC.
In parallel you can read manhattan quant books and then solve OG questions.

Good Luck

Hi Gekko,

You've named some highly competitive Schools, so having a competitive GMAT Score will be a must for your applications. Many Test Takers find that they actually end up needing more study time than they initially plan for - and that initial practice CAT score will help to define how much time you might need, so we should start there.

I just bought the official gmat guide 2017 (the green one) and the Manhattan books in PDF.

These are the best books available You should also buy Manhattan Verbal Review and Quant Review for extensive practice

Where do you think is better to start from?

Start with quant, learn the concepts tested on GMAT
After learning, practice your learned section with times practice
You can also take quizzes to meet the pace of GMAT

1 Month for learning concepts and 15 days of practice and same with the verbal
when completed all the concepts learning and handsome practice
Take full lenght CATs, know your estimated score

Analyze the result with Correct/incorrect questions, pacing analysis
trace your mistakes and learn from them, make an error log to know
your mistakes in the previously attempted questions

Best CATs

1. Official GMAC (50+50$)
2. Manhattan GMAT (49$)
3. GMAT Club Quant CATs (80$)
4. Veritas CATs are on Sale these days till 12 June just in 10$ hurry up buddy

above Mock exams are as important as ranked

Good Luck

Hi Kalian,

Two months should be good enough to improve your score. You should take a GMATPREP test and see how you perform. You can know your weaknesses and work on them. If you are willing to study dedicatedly for Three months, you are sure to achieve your goal. I believe you may benefit from taking a GMATPREP course. If you are willing, there are some great GMAT prep companies that can help you with your preparation. Although MGMAT is good, you should also look at other online companies for your preparation.

In order to make an informed decision I would highly encourage you to go to their websites and try on their free trial and decide for yourself which one do you like better. You try out free access to EmpowerGMAT, Magoosh and Optimus Prep as they have great reviews on GMATCLUB.

You can also try out the MGMAT guides they are phenomenal and cover the entire syllabus really well. I must add that if you are particularly looking to discover and improve on your weak areas in quant; a subscription to GMATCLUB tests is the best way to do that. They are indeed phenomenal and will not only pinpoint your weak areas but also help you improve on them.

Further taking multiple mocks might help. Apart from the GMATPREP, Manhattan GMAT tests and Veritas Prep Tests in my experience have good verbal and Quant section and will certainly help you point out and improve your weak areas.

Further another advantage of taking many mocks is to build up your stamina. Apart from the GMATPREP tests, taking practise tests of any major GMATPREP company ought to do that.

Lastly I would also encourage you practice all the questions twice from the latest version of OG and the verbal review. Here is a link that will help you with your decision.

Hope this helps. All the best.

Dear Novice,

It is no where necessary, GMAT club gives a separate list of all the questions that are new. Instead use the money to get good mocks or any new sectional guides.

Hi,

I suggest to start with official guide first. Later you can switch to Manhattan PDFs.
Its always good to start with official material and then switch to other materials.

Hi Gekko,

How was your exams and applications to the business schools you had your eyes on?

I trust you have made significant progress.

I am in similar situation as you, back then. SO much materials, study plans and suggestions all around, with very little time.

How were you able to get around them all??
