The news from one of the QS events (where Ally was present) is that those Indian candidates who have not yet received an interview invite are in no way out of the game. They are still reviewing a lot of applications. The R1 deadline is a soft deadline. So basically it ain't over until they say it's over. Don't try to speculate or look into trends. It's pointless tbh.

Got admitted today too! I was interviewed on 15/11 with Leigh Gauthier, and got an
email saying that I was accepted at around 4pm Toronto time. Really excited!

Undergrad - UIUC (GPA 3.07 in the last 2 years) Industrial Engineering with a minor in Gender and Women Studies

Interview was with Ally Morrow, on Nov 28th. Pretty basic interview, the usual behavioral questions. Conversation revolved around post mba goals and ambitions, discussed some recent alumni that I had been in touch with. A couple of fun questions, but otherwise, pretty straightforward.

Have you applied in R1 as well?

Looks like there is a barrage of admits coming in. Congrats to all getting in

From what I understand, all the admits are folks who applied in R1? Nothing coming up yet for R2 candidates, right?

If I remembered correctly, someone applied on 29th Nov and got admit?

Ah okay. I applied on 1st November. Haven't heard anything. Hope it doesn't mean anything negative. Guess it's to do with being in the Indian peer group.

It surely doesn't mean anything negative.
I think they are now busy processing all the R1 applicants, then they will have holidays from 19th Dec to early Jan, so I guess most interview invites will happen after that.
