Looking to get into healthcare administration or consulting. Any insight into each of these programs would really help. I'm not worried about geographical location or $$.
Which do you think would be best for healthcare and why?
Given your choices, Owen, hands down.
FWIW, I wear my bias on my sleeve, but I think the numbers back this up.
These are all solid options, but if you just compare the MBA employment reports you'll see that:
Tepper sent 7% of their class into healthcare.
https://tepper.cmu.edu/recruiters-and-c ... s/industryOwen sent
23% of their class into healthcare.
https://issuu.com/vanderbiltowen/docs/o ... emp-reportKelley sent 13% of their class into healthcare.
https://kelley.iu.edu/recruiters-compan ... dex.cshtmlFisher doesn't list how many of its graduates went into healthcare.
https://fisher.osu.edu/careers-recruiti ... tcome-dataI don't exactly know how the dual MBA/MHA changes the equation, but I'm really not convinced it will give you a leg up when recruiting, and if it costs more to do the double degree, I really don't know that it would be worth it.
Also, Nashville is HELLA better than Pittsburgh, Columbus, and the Indiana wilderness.
Good luck with the decision!
This is great! Thank you! Once all my admitted notifications come in, do you have questions to ask admissions that would provide further insight into the programs?
Right now I'm batting 1.000 with 2 unknowns so I'm feeling optimistic about the 2 unknowns.
Fisher - admitted w/ $
Owen - admitted w/ $
Kelley - admitted and waiting for the welcome packet to see about $
Olin - end of week decision
Tepper - end of week decision
Post script: Katz offered a large amount of $$ but I'm not convinced the program is strong enough.
