Hi all,
Starting with my first mock, I scored a 640(Q44, V33) on the
Manhattan Prep's first free mock. Then my score started declining and went to 560(Q40, V27) by the time I reached the third mock. It gradually went upwards and my score in the final mock was 650(Q44, V35). The study materials I during my preparation were OG17 and
MGMAT Study Guides.
Last week I took the official GMATPrep mock 1 and it was truly horrifying to see a score of 590(Q48, V23). Although I did substantially better in Quants my verbal had gone down quite a lot. I was expecting an improvement of at least 5 points from the last
MGMAT mock but I found the Verbal in GMATPrep wasn't quite similar to the one in
MGMAT. I gave the second GMATPrep day before yesterday and scored 600(Q49, V24). Most of my friends who gave the GMAT had a score which was within 20 points of their GMATPrep's score.
I really need a score of 670+ to get into my target school but I don't really see it happening. I'm usually quite confident in myself but seeing 5 months of preparation go waste has really disheartened me. I will have another chance to give GMAT but I really don't want to spend another $250 as I've already spent a lot on counseling and
MGMAT books. If you guys have any last minute strategies or tips for SC and CR which are my weakest points I would be really grateful. My GMAT is scheduled tomorrow and I could really use a few tips which could refresh my perspective on approaching these questions.
Thank you.
EDIT: Thanks for your bits of advice guys. Although unfortunately, we saw it coming, I scored a 590(42V 28Q). Was a bad day since the morning which surely contributed to this score. Will start fresh after giving my brain some rest for a couple weeks.
