Mine were similarly basic questions, the only "twist" I had was something involving a current business development I was following which was simple enough. 10-15 minutes seems about right, I'd say close to half of the 25 minutes I spent with Paul were chatting about supply chain, rather than answering questions.
It was definitely the easiest interview of the 3 I've done so far. Mine was done prior to submitting my application while at an info session so I may be a little different, but I think they get a lot out of the powerpoint slide and video questions and don't need a whole lot more from the interview. (not just at MSU, videos have become pretty prevalent across schools) This makes the official interview more of just a formality in my opinion, since you've already recorded responses to several interview questions in the application.
yeah you have a point there, they get a lot from the two essays, but i remember Paul said several times that they do blind interviews (= they don't read applications before interviewing). if that's the case then i doubt that the essay content has anything to do with how the interview goes. (but who knows, really)
btw, could you share how was the tone of the interview? i know they said it is relaxed and conversational, but was Paul/they smiley friendly joky or did they keep a professional poker face all through the interview?
