Hi there,

I'm a 1Y for the 2019 class and got 84% of COA aid. I really need to boost this number up to 100% since I'm going with my wife and a baby (and everyone knows that the COA is a pretty conservative number)

Any insights or tips on how to approach this? Called financial aid department and they said they can't give more (wtf... should be a great business lending more money)

Are you a US citizen? Is the aid in the form of scholarships or loans?

What they are probably referring to is the federal student loan program which doesn’t let you take out more than the cost of attendance. I think you can take out a private loan if you need additional funding but I’m not 100% on that.

No, I'm an international student
I'm thinking of addressing the financial aid director via email explaining my case

I really need to improve my aid so that I can have a good experience and don't end up being stressed by money all the time
