Re: 680 to 700+ how to get there / should I even try? [#permalink]
Hi guys, I'm so glad I did go ahead with my resit on the 15th Feb - managed to score 730 (Q50, V40) after spending 95% of my time since my previous sitting (on 22 Jan) on improving Quant. So, for everyone who is wondering, like I did, whether to give it another go, I would say - just do it, nothing worth having comes easy!

Hello irina001,

Congrats on your awesome score. Your Quant score has increased from 43 to 50 within a span of 25 days which is incredible.

Can you please let us know how you prepared for Quant in this period to improve to Q50 and also what materials you used.

All the best for your applications.

I mainly used the GMAT club tests for the Quant part and focused on brushing up on the areas I felt I was weak in. The gmat club math book was also a brilliant resource!

I also tried to improve the mental part and managed to get better sleep the night before and overall had less nerves on the day, which helped massively. All that, plus a little bit of luck helped me improve my score, and I couldn't be more grateful! I did not work on Verbal part at all during this period, except for the last couple of days before the exam, but I was lucky my score did not go down in Verbal. I should have probably tried to improve my Verbal score as well but I didn't have enough time to focus on both equally.

Thanks much for the reply. My Quant score also hovers around 43 and your post on your retake is an inspiration for me.

Thanks much Irina.
