Seems like based on last year's thread, the earliest waitlisted applicants were accepted was in May. Guess we have a long way to go....

Hello Haas hopefuls!

Got a call from Admissions yesterday and basically they said they're trying to do things a little quicker this year than in past years! Told me to keep my phone at the ready for basically the next couple of weeks.

That's basically all the info I have now, will post any more updates if they come!

Did others get this call from Admissions as well? Is it a sign of positive interest from the school?

Hi everyone,

Great initiative and congrats on being waitlisted from such a great school. Just wanted to ask how're you people submitting the additional LOR if any? The pdf file that the adcom has shared is non-editable and hence I'm not sure how the recommender is supposed to edit it and then email it. Any suggestions? (I know you can send it by mail as well but no recommender nowadays has time to do that)

I called Admissions and asked about this too. They said that it should work the same way as the original app - whereas we enter our recommender's email address into a form on app mgmt, and then the LOR form is sent to our recommender directly....But I don't think that's the case ahhaha.

My move is to print it out for my recommender, have them fill it out by hand and then scan it, so that it can be emailed along with their more detailed short-answer responses, which they'll type into a Word doc.

Congrats Mangowango!! :) Very happy for you! Did you turn in your additional documents if any right after you were waitlisted in Round 1? I remember Haas saying that they won't be updating us about a change in status until March 13th.

What's up, Sud?!

So I intended to turn in stuff in early Jan, but pushed it off until Feb 1st maybe. And yep! They sent out a lil note saying they'd make decisions after mar 13, but then their admissions office called me and said they were trying to speed things up this year!

The Round 2 decision date is March 22. I reckon they start calling admitted folks a couple of days before the decision date.

R1 waitlist-- sent in some good updates, but guess it wasn't enough.

When do you think the big dates that us WL have to look forward to now? Im assuming if we didnt hear back today, then we're not hearing anything until deposit deadline for R2 and decisions for R3.

Thoughts?
