HBS Waitlist: (2018 Intake) Class of 2020

I don't believe that those are admits from the waitlist, must just be people filling out admissions from December. There is a separate category for "admitted from waitlist"

Hey guys, so I am thinking of applying to HBS 2+2 and Stanford MBA deferred admission. Would like to know what you think of my chances of getting to the interview stage/ getting an offer

I am from Montreal, Canada (23 year old white male)
Undergrad: Non-target US university (Economics & Finance)
GPA: 3.96/4.0 (top 1%)
Masters: Masters in Management at London Business School (LBS)
GMAT: 710 (49Q, 38V, 8IR, 5.0 AWA)
Work Experience: Investment banking analyst (M&A, ECM, DCM) in a top Canadian Bank (will start in July 2018)
Leadership: Captain of my NCAA tennis team in Florida, MVP for 2 years
EC: Professional tennis player for 7 years, ranked 668 in the world (played in over 40 different countries), represented Canada in the Junior Olympics in Singapore
Sponsorship from Adidas and Babolat
Post-MBA Goal: Venture Capital or Private Equity in a top US fund

In my essay, I plan to leverage my tennis experience and discuss everything I have learned from it (leadership, dedication, performing under pressure, time management, problem solving, interpersonal skills).

Any advice for those of us waitlisted yesterday? I've seen mixed advice on submitting additional information

Aw man, I'm happy/sorry for us Yeah, the reason I ask if because my GMAT sucks, so I was considering if I should retake it.

I got in yesterday and did not submit any additional information. All of the communication from Eileen emphasized to not submit anything.
That being said, would be curious to see if anyone else did!

To R1 waitlisters - any advice guys?

From the folks i spoke to, sounds like not submitting anything may be best route. I heard at one point during R1 waitlist Eileen had to email waitlisters saying stop sending in additional info.

Hi, does anyone know if HBS usually meet deadlines for the waitlist process? (i.e. update email end of april, some decisions early may)

Looking back in some of the threads from previous years, it seems that deadlines have been missed before. However, I also find it a bit uncharacteristic of HBS to remain silent through these first days of May when they promised an update by end of April.

Has anyone heard anything?

I was waitlisted at R1 and accepted at R2. Unlike others, I DID send a couple of update emails and it worked out for me.

I would like to point that Eileen only said they didn't want recommenders to send them material (not us, waitlisters). That being said, I would rather take the risk of doing something than the risk of doing nothing. :p
