a, b and c are integers greater than 2, what is the value of a + b + c ?

Statement 1

bc = 35

We don' know the value of a

Statement 1 is insufficient

Statement 2

abc = 105

abc = 105 = 3 * 5 * 7

Since a, b, c are integers greater than 2, one of a,b,c is 3, one of a,b,c is 5 and one of a,b,c is 7

Hence a + b + c = 3 + 5 + 7 = 15

Statement 2 is sufficient

Hence option B

Note:

a,b,c >2.


we are asked to find out the sum of a+b+c.

Statement 1:

bc =35 = 5*7.

but we don't know what is the value of a. NOT sufficient.

Statement 2:

abc = 105 = 3*5*7

a+b+c = 3+5+7 = 15

Sufficient.

The correct answer is B.
