Re: Calling all Erasmus (Rotterdam) MBA Applicants: Jan 2019 Intake [#permalink]
Is it normal for Indian candidates to receive even interview calls so late past a submission deadline (I submitted on 10th June against a a 12th June cutoff for R2) or if I haven't received a call till now it means that it's more or less over for me?

Generally, they take hell lot of time in their decision. I got my invite 3 weeks after the deadline.

Last week I had my interview with the adcom. She said that they will let me know about their decision before the third round deadlines. But going by this forum, I saw that many of the second round applicants got their decision after two weeks of their interviews. Is it a ding for me ? :/

Hi Kratosrage,

Ditto for me. Had my interview on 12th July. Went on for 56 mins. Regarding the time line I was told that they will inform before the 3rd round deadline, i.e. 16th August I guess. But going by pattern for admitted students in this forum as well as last 2 years, I believe the adcom sits every 2 weeks on a monday/Tuesday whereby they discuss the interviewed candidates over the fortnight. The results are then released over the week. So for admitted students, the decision cycle from interview to admit ranges from 1week to 2 week max. Going by the same, I expect the adcom to sit this week and calls to be rolled out over the week. If we don't get a call this week, reduce the probability of admit to <10%. Atleast that's my take.

Had my interview around 44 mins. Revolving mostly around essays and behavioural questions.

I think this might be due to the simple fact that earlier rounds have fewer applicants, and later rounds have more. So naturally the adcom has to review more applications, so the answers may take longer.

I propose an alternate theory.

Since the time between 2 deadlines (1st to 2nd and then 2nd to 3rd) remains ~ the same, therefore to conduct sufficient number of selection committees between this period (i presume RSM conducts min 4 committees per round) would require adcom members to assess more number of application per week. This would mean that even though the quantum of applications have increased but to honor the deadlines within the fixed timeframes, the admission rollouts will happen with nearly the same frequency across all rounds.

Congrats jyotipravat

I hope you start the journey soon.

Have you secured any scholarship?

Can you lease five any examples of behavioral questions?

Thanks in advance
