Hi Srishti0209,

Many Test Takers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores, so you might naturally improve over this next month as you continue to study. That having been said, at higher-and-higher score levels, the GMAT becomes really 'sensitive' to little mistakes, so part of your emphasis going forward must be on the 'precision' in your work (your note-noting, organization, active reading, etc.).

If you've really taken just 1 CAT so far (and a 3rd-party CAT at that), then we need more information to properly define your current skills, strengths and weaknesses. As such, I strongly recommend that you take one of the Official GMAC CATs and take it in a realistic fashion (take the FULL CAT - with the Essay and IR sections, take it away from your home, at the same time of day as when you'll take the Official GMAT, etc.). Once you have that score, you should report back here and we can discuss how best to proceed.

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,

Hi Srishti0209,

I’m glad you reached out, and I’m happy to help. What was the date of your practice test?

Before you make any decisions about how to move forward with your studies, I agree that taking an official MBA.com practice exam to get an updated baseline GMAT score (especially for verbal) would be helpful. Once you take the exam, please reach back out, and I’d be happy to provide some further advice.
