(A) 1.02
(B) 1.12
(C) 1.23
(D) 1.45
(E) 2.1

\(x ≥ 0.9\)
i.e. \(1/x ≤ 1/0.9\)
i.e. \(1/x ≤ 1.11\)
taking square root both sides
i.e. \(√(1/x) ≤ √1.11\)
i.e. \(√(1/x) ≤ 1.11\)

Answer:Option A

CONCEPT: For any value of x such that 0 < x < 1, The square root of the value will be bigger than value i.e. \(√x > x\) and square will be smaller than value i.e. \(x^2 < x\)

given: since x≥0.9 we can simplify the fraction by squaring
\(\frac{1}{\sqrt{x}}=\frac{1^2}{\sqrt{x^2}}=\frac{1}{x}\)
\(\frac{1}{x}=\frac{1}{9/10}=\frac{10}{9}≤1.12\)

Answer (A).

Given: x ≥ 0.9

Asked: Which of the following could be the value of \(\frac{1}{\sqrt{x}}\)?

x ≥ 0.9
\(\sqrt{x} ≥ \sqrt{0.9} = \sqrt{9/10} = 3/\sqrt{10}\)

\(\frac{1}{\sqrt{x}} \leq \sqrt{10}/3 = 3.16/3 = 1.05\)
