I've been admitted into CEIBS (Shanghai, China) for Fall 2006
If you haven't heard of CEIBS, its okay. Alot of people in the States have not heard of it but its currently ranked #1 in Asia and #21 worldwide, according to Financial Times.
My Profile:
Age: 26
Ethnicity: Taiwanese but came to the States when I was 12. Fluent in Mandarin and English.
Work Exp: 4 years in finance/operations in a Fortune 500 company with managerial exp.
GMAT: Took it last December and got a dismal 590. I studied since then and took CEIBS' entrance exam (similar to the GMAT w/o the AWA).
Application Process: Applied in the last round. Flew to Shanghai to take the test and interview. Thought the interview went terribly wrong but I guess they thought differently.
Why China: China is already on the fast rise to one of the world's biggest economy. Its future is just endless. Getting a MBA in China has its risks, but its a risk that I'm willing to take!
Anyways, its been a great and tough journey but I'm so glad I got through it with the friends that I've made along the way! I want to thank Giddi, Gamjatang, Christoph, Vivek123, Duttsit, Laxie, joemama.....and of course the admin of the GMAT Club! I am sorry but I know I am missing more names!! Each and everyone of you is an inspiration to me..........
Good luck to you all and I'll be sure to stick around!
