Are you applying for R2? I would suggest check the requirements of every college you want to apply to, not all will have a waiver ( e.g UCLA ). So if you have time, you are better off just giving the exam.

Note: UT is one of the few schools that requires Indian applicants to have either a 4-year undergraduate degree or a separate masters to be eligible for the program.

I saw on last year’s forum a lot of people got denied and lost their application fee because they didn’t see this requirement.

Does anyone know when decisions will go out? Some of the other schools have the dates that decisions are released, and I've been accepted to another priority school of mine who need a decision by December 7th. I received an interview invite by email yesterday, but have not booked a time yet. If I won't receive a decision before December 7th, I may not spend money on a ticket to Austin. Any guidance will help. Thanks!

i am from india and have a 720 , i need to go to energy consulting post mba ? does mccombs have opportunities for energy consulting and do they hire international ?

It's best to ask student ambassadors about that. It would be useful to go through the employment statistics of the school.

Yes, I got my invite on the 16th. I wouldn't worry about it, I'm sure they have loads of people to work through (I know it is easier said than done though)

Hey Sulabh,

McCombs has ~5% of people going into the Energy Industry. And around 21% in consulting. Only other school with better statistic in the Energy industry is Rice Jones with 14.8%. TEXAS is common among both schools. Definitely, McCombs can get you what you're looking for. But maybe also look into Rice.

The anxiety is killing me. A lot of people have received their invites and I am still waiting.
I knew that a below par score and only 3 years work experience decrease my chances but I was still optimistic about getting an invite at least.

720 isn't below par for McCombs and there's still plenty of time for invites to go out, try not to stress out over it.

You can't change your application for McCombs now so there is no point letting anxiety get the better of you. Try working towards making round two applications the best they can be and taking your mind off this
