Hello
ayushtyagiBroadly speaking, Indian Male Engineers make up the largest and the most competitive pool of applicants and are expected to score high on the GMAT to stand out.
That said, the target score will also depend on what B Schools you shortlist and apply to.
Shortlisting of schools needs to happen on the basis of your overall profile, i.e. work ex, academic scores, achievements at work extracurricular activities and most importantly career goals.
You may want to read

That is how you should proceed on shortlisting schools and also to get a fair idea of what your target GMAT score should be.

Hi Everyone. I am Ayush Tyagi and I am currently working in RITES Ltd.( A Public sector undertaking under Ministry of Railways) as an Asst. Manager. I am a Civil Engineer and did my B. Tech from Galgotia's college of Engineering which is not so well known college but with a CGPA of around 9. Thereafter I cleared GATE with and All India Rank of 260 (99.7 Percentile) and did my M.Tech in Transportation systems Engineering from IIT Bombay (CGPA 7.6). My research theses in IIT was well accepted and I got two of my research papers published in Renowed international journals. Further I was an active member of a society in IIT Bombay and have certificates attesting to the same. I have been working with RITES for last 3 Years and have been associated with various projects of Indian Railways. I have no gap years either and am currently 26 years old. Now I am planning on doing my MBA from abroad and have scored over 720 in my official mock GMAT. But since I come from a not so well educated area, i dont have much Idea about what I can aim for with my above mentioned profile.
Please guide me regarding the same. Any help will be much appreciated
