Hi,

I am looking forward to apply for the Fisher MBA class of 2021.

I am an Indian male engineer having worked at operations and product development.

I am posting a summary of my profile below.

Nationality- India
Age- 28
Undergrad- B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering ( 8.08/10 CGPA)
GMAT- 680
TOEFL- 110
Work Experience- 5.5 years ( 3.5 years as a production and operations manager; 2 years as a product development manager)
International exposure- Yes( Mostly Southeast Asia and Europe)

I would really prefer Fisher since they have a great Operations management program. I think with my experience in operations I would be able to contribute a lot towards my peers.

What do you think my chances are for fall 2019 intake?

Hello Susangbit

The outline of your profile seems to fit in at Fisher. GMAT, work ex, international exposure make for decent talking points.
No doubt you will have to present this well.
Though you have talked about operations management, not sure what your specific career goals are- showcase why you need to study at Fisher to achieve these goals.

Thank you for your input. I am looking forward to use my skills in business strategy. Since that will involve a lot of operations management I think Fisher can equip me with the skills which I might be lacking at present.

Requesting a profile evaluation:

I'm looking to get into product management at top US tech companies

A brief bit about my profile:
Age: 26. First-gen college grad hailing from 3rd world country

=> Work-Ex:
2.5 years in Brand Management in 2nd largest Telcom operator in Bangladesh. Have led multiple cross-functional projects with clear impact and contribution to the company. Not yet promoted but have already taken 90% of the responsibilities of the promoted role ( promotion coming up in ~ 3 months)

Interesting work project: Created mental health group with professional support. Members get free of cost counseling. Currently 10k+ members with 50+ suicide prevention cases

=> GMAT: 650 (V37, Q43, IR4, AWA4)
=> Undergrad: Bachelor of Business Administration -from University of Dhaka (CGPA of 3.24 out of 4-> top 20%)
=>Micro Masters in Marketing Analytics, University of California, BerkeleyX (passed with 90% score)

=> Co-founded a footwear startup during undergrad ( sustainable shoes from truck tires and upcycled quilt) - although did not survive 2nd year

=> Awards
Star Performer award and Exceptional contribution awards
Edexcel Outstanding Achievement Award

=> Extra-curriculars:
-Campus winners and runners-up across multiple case competitions
-Muay Thai for last ~2 years
-Civilian Black belt in Krav Maga- Led training sessions across country
