Project wSTAT(pronounced dubstat) which Schools To Apply To?
Why?
“Comparison” is a critical tool for a student while selecting business schools. Very rarely people apply to all of the top 10 business schools or all the schools in their radar. Students often trim their list of target schools by comparing or evaluating one business school to another. We sensed that while GMAT Club provides substantial information a student needs regarding any business school, it doesn’t provide the comparative information(yet!) of business schools in a directly consumable way. This project is our attempt to provide the comparative information and make it easy for the students to evaluate their target school list.
How?
You can treat this project similar to a sports league such as NBA, NFL etc where each team competes against every other team. Here each school competes against other schools. In particular, each program from a school competes against another program. We will eventually provide our comprehensive coverage of each school against other schools.
There will be followed by a “Learnings” section at the end where we provide all the learnings we have gained from the comparison for each school. We have found some interesting learnings so far and we are sure this process will unearth more hidden learnings.
Goal
Make this project the goto place for reference while deciding on business schools.
Future
wSTAT is one of the several projects we are working on to help an applicant make a seamless transition from finishing GMAT exam to matriculating in his/her dream university. One of the most critical decisions for those who are getting ready to apply to MBA programs is which schools to apply to. We are addressing this problem with this project.
