Calls to accepted applicants start going out the morning of decision day, no earlier. That afternoon waitlisters and denied applicants will receive an email to check portal.

Mgraynap, did you get accepted in McCombs before the deadline? Or just for a felowship program? It is important for me to know. Congratulations on both cases =)

I got a call from UT (the school, not the consortium) telling me I had been selected as a consortium fellow. You can’t be offered fellowship without also being admitted, so it’s both an admittance before the notification date, and a fellowship offer. I’m sure my official letter won’t come until 12/20.

Thank you for confirming. I asked for an early decision last week because I needed to answer another school where I got a scholarship and they said it would not be fair to other applicants =S.

I wouldn’t worry, the only reason they told me was because the consortium has a December decision date (as well as the March one), so the consortium system kinda forced them.

Anyway, good luck! Maybe ask the other school for an extension on the deposit deadline
