From stem y > 2x, and z > x
Adding both we get
y + z >3x------(a)

but x>8
So 3x > 24

from (a) y + z >24

Hi,
Its E.
x is greater than 8
y is greater than 16
z is greater than 8
so, y+z = greater than 16 + greater than 8 = greater than 24.
Hence, y+z cannot be 24, which is Option E.

Since x is greater than 8, y is greater than 16, and z is greater than 8. Thus, y + z must be greater than 16 + 8 = 24, so it cannot be 24.
