Equation of a line is given as 3x+2y=6. What is the sum of the x intercept and y intercept of this line?

A. 3

B. -3

C. -5

D. 5

E. 4

At x intercept \(y = 0\)

So, \(3x+2y=6\)

Or, \(3x+2*0=6\)

Thus, \(x = 2\)

At y intercept \(x = 0\)

So, \(3x+2y=6\)

Or, \(3*0+2y=6\)

Thus, \(2y = 6\)

Hence, \(y = 3\)

\(x + y = 5\), Answer must be (D)

At x intercept, y=0
3x+2y=6
x=2

At y intercept, x=0
3x+2y=6
