I'm not convinced with A. Argument says the well funded special groups already are able to influence to the voters. How does it matter that their opponents have funding or not. Even if they did interest groups could still influence

D on the other hand states that media is biased in favor of special interests group. Even though it is a general statements, it still applies.

I chose D at first but then I think whether media is influenced by well-funded special interest groups unintentionally or intentionally

The conclusion stated that well-funded special interest groups actively influence these large open referenda
while in (D) does not mean well-funded special interest groups intentionally influence media

So with this subtle difference, (D) is out

The correct answer is (A) because it indicated that the opposed groups are not able to the same with well-funded special interest groups in order to influence media.
What happen when both groups could influence media, the conclusion would be weaken, so (A) eliminate one possibility that can weaken conclusion
