IIM Lucknow offers International Programme in Management for Executives (IPMX) at its NOIDA Campus.




This is a one-year, full-time, post-graduate programme in management for mid/ senior level professionals to prepare them for the top roles in business organizations. The programme was started in the year 2008 and is accredited by Association of MBAs (AMBA).
A valid GMAT score is a prerequisite for applying to this programme.

Eligibility Criteria:

Executives with Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or an equivalent academic pursuit (i.e., 10+2+3), with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA;

GMAT score for test taken during November 16, 2014 – November 15, 2019, for Round 1 applicants, and January 26, 2015 – January 25, 2020, for Round 2 applicants;”

A minimum of 5 years of full-time post-qualification (after graduation) managerial experience as on March 31, 2020;

(Managerial or Professional Experience Certificate or Pay Slips would be required as proof)
(The Programme is open to executives of all nationalities. There is no fee for applying to the programme. :cool: )

5 years full time experience is the eligibility criterion.

The Median GMAT score was around 680.

Also note that
" The participants are selected from a vast pool of applicants through a stringent and comprehensive admission process comprising of GMAT scores, quality of experience,industry references and personal interviews. "

Please help in detailed profile assessment, it will be a great help.

Entrepreneurship ( 2014 - Till Date): Business Development- Sales and Marketing with over 4 years experience (Consumer Electronics, FMCG), Channel Sales, Strategy, Annual Operating plan, Financial projections. Heading a team of 20 people spread over 5 states.

Overall Experience: Over 10 years as 1.6 Years as Civil Engineer, Vedanta Aluminium Limited and 3.5 years, Business Development (Power Sales, Regulatory, Transmission). Technical Assistant to MD, Whole Time Director( GMR Group).
Entrepreneurship, 2014 to till Date- Business Development (Consumer Electronics, FMCG).


UG degree: B Tech (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, KIIT University)
UG (%): 74%
Passed- 2009

GMAT: 510 (8/31/2017)


Looking to get into ISB, IIMs (A,B, C, L, I) in 2020.

Hello Avijit,
I think you should really focus on your gmat score. You should consider a second attempt. 510 is way too low to get call from any of the IIMs or ISB. Median score for all the IIMs hover around 670-680. Hope this helps you.

WAT - writing ability test

it is a long (around 150-200 words) essay writing.

Written Ability Test (WAT) is pen-paper based writing test of 15 to 30 minutes duration conducted by IIMs and other top B-schools to test your writing skills after you are shortlisted for final admission round. In fact most of the IIMs have replaced Group Discussion (GD) round by WAT in the final selection round.

Out of the 20 IIMs except 2 IIMs, all have replaced GD round by WAT round as their final selection process for admission to their flagship programmes. IIMs found WAT a better testing process to assess a candidate than GD as many candidates could not express their opinion and views during GD while who could speak louder made their presence felt during GD round.

In WAT round a candidate can freely put down his views and thoughts on paper coherently without fear of getting disrupted.
