How to Download the GMAT Prep Software and Bypass Registration

In case you want to use the desktop version of gmat prep software, you can get it but you will need to jump some hoops.


Many users have been reporting issues with their GMAT Prep online version (taking a long time to load questions, software being offline completely, errors after tests, and a variety of other problems: https://gmatclub.com/forum/master-list- ... 71874.html)


Many have gone back to using the downloaded "OLD" version that has 37 Quant and 41 Verbal questions. If you have had it installed, you can continue using it. However, since Sept 1st, it appears to be IMPOSSIBLE to activate the GMAT Prep Software - it appears GMAC has taken the servers down that are responsible for activating the software as well as Exam and Question Packs. If you try to install the latest GMAT Prep Software version, you will get an error message like the one below. It is definitely a HUGE blow. We can't download the software and we can't activate the old EP's and QP's. This is BAD.


What can you do?

You can download the 2012 GMAT Prep offline version that does not require online activation. (I happen to have saved a version from that time)
It still has 37 Quant and 41 Verbal questions and it does not offer section choice but the big thing is that - IT WORKS!

PS. It does not support activation of the Exam or Queation packs unfortunately. Those require a license server and that server has been taken down.

If you wanna I can host or upload here even the oldest version of the software.

I do not know if it is different, containing different questions but I think so

GMATPrep v 2.5 also works on some operating systems, also does not require online registration, and most importantly, does allow test-takers to select section order.

No, GMAC never released a GMATPrep desktop software update for the shorter GMAT. The transition to the online tests was made when the shorter test was announced.

Hey, guys.
Back in 2017 I bought exam pack 2 (tests 3&4). I still have the activation code, is there any way to activate it using these softwares shared here?

Hi. The servers that allow you to register are down at this time. The only option is to convert them into the online gmat prep versions. GMAC seems to be still doing it past the deadline back in 2018.

Unfortunately there's an error showing "the site can't be reached" for both the links.
Though I have older Q37/V41 version with me, thought to check this one out.

Can you check.

If version 2.5 works, you can download it here: https://gmatclub.com/static/GMATPrepSetup25.exe
(I tried install it and it works but I could not run any of the tests due to a display error but that's likely my local issue)
